Renowned Japanese entertainer Takuya Kimura is set to embark on his “Takuya Kimura Live Tour 2026 Checkpoint,” with a significant milestone marked by his inaugural solo overseas shows in Taipei. These concerts are scheduled for November 13 and 14 at the Taipei Music Center, coinciding with his 54th birthday on the opening night.
The tour will feature a total of nine performances across five cities. It kicks off on September 9 and concludes on November 23, with stops in Hyogo, Fukuoka, and Chiba within Japan, as well as international performances in Seoul and Taipei. The Taipei concerts hold special significance as they represent the first time Kimura will perform solo outside of Japan, fulfilling a long-standing wish expressed by his international fanbase.
In tandem with the tour announcement, Kimura has disclosed plans to drop a new original album titled “Checkpoint” this summer. This album symbolizes a pivotal moment in his music career, as he embarks on a new artistic journey.
